Stamping die is a kind of special process equipment which can process materials (metal or non-metal) into parts (or semi-finished products) in cold stamping process, which is called cold stamping die (commonly known as cold stamping die). Stamping, is at room temperature, using the mold installed in the pressure machine to exert pressure on the material, make it produce separation or plastic deformation, so as to obtain the required parts of a pressure processing method.
There are many forms of stamping die, according to the nature of the process classification:
A. Blanking die -- a die that separates the material along the closed or open profile. Such as blanking die, punching die, cutting die, cutting die, cutting die, cutting die, and so on.
B. Bending die -- a die that causes a blank or other blank to bend and deform along a straight line (bending line) so as to obtain a workpiece of a certain Angle and shape.
C. Drawing die -- -- a die that makes the blank of the sheet material into an open hollow piece, or makes the hollow piece change its shape and size further.
D. Forming die -- -- a die that directly replicates the blank or semi-finished workpiece in accordance with the shape of convex and concave die, while the material itself only produces partial plastic deformation. Such as expansion die, shrink die, die, undulating forming die, flanging die, plastic die.
E. Riveting die -- -- it is to use external force to make the participating parts connected or overlapped together in a certain order and manner, thus forming a whole
Classification according to process combination degree:
A. Single process die -- a die that completes only one stamping process in one stroke of the press.
B. Compound die -- -- a die with only one station, which completes two or more stamping processes simultaneously at the same station in one stroke of the press.
C. Progressive die -- also known as progressive die, which has two or more stations in the direction of feed of the blank, and which completes two or more stamping processes one by one at different stations in one stroke of the press.
D. Transfer mold -- -- it integrates the characteristics of single process mold and progressive mold, and USES the mechanical hand transfer system to realize the rapid transfer of products within the mold, which can greatly improve the production efficiency of products, reduce the production cost of products, save the cost of materials, and ensure the stable and reliable quality.
